Admission for U.S. Citizens/ Permanent Resident Aliens - First-Year Students

  • Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0
  • College preparatory requirements for English, math, social studies, science and foreign language.
  • English: (4 years)
  • Mathematics: (3 years) including first-year algebra and two additional years culminating at the algebra II or higher level.
  • Social Studies: (3 years) including 1 U.S. history, 1 global studies, 1 social studies elective
  • Science: (2 years) 1 year each of two different sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.)
  • Foreign Language: (2 years) You must have completed 2 years of the same high school-level foreign language, or have earned a grade of C- or higher in the third year of a high school-level foreign language, or have completed 2 quarters of the same college-level foreign language, or you must have earned a satisfactory score on an approved assessment of foreign language knowledge. Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is acceptable in meeting this requirement.
  • SAT or ACT results
  • High school diploma or GED completion
  • Math Placement Assessment taken at LBCC or OSU
